ABOUT ME

Creative Technologist, Founder,

and Leader

I build creative technology and lead with an

emphasis on execution, durability, and

speed, balancing the need to move fast with

the responsibility to build things that last.

My name is Justin Korn (or jkorn), an entrepreneur, software engineer, and developer from Los Angeles, CA. I have over a decade of experience building interactive experiences that have reached millions of players and been recognized by organizations including BAFTA, SXSW, and Games for Change.

What motivates me most is hearing a strong, ambitious idea and figuring out how to make it real. That mindset has led me to take ownership of the technical build on projects spanning games, live installations, and large-scale events, where the challenge is not just shipping something impressive and intuitive, but making it work reliably in the real world.

My background sits at the intersection of art and engineering, which has shaped how I approach creative technology. I’ve led engineering efforts across indie teams and contributed to AAA environments, including work with studios like Warner Bros., where I gained firsthand experience with large production pipelines alongside smaller, fast-moving teams.

Currently as co-founder and CTO of Test Jar Labs, I lead the technical direction of interactive products that blend technology, creativity, and emotion. I focus on technical execution and leadership, which has meant owning system architecture, engineering direction, and technical decision-making across products that needed to scale, iterate quickly, and evolve over time. This approach has supported games and event-based experiences such as Dance Break, which has been deployed across community events, private gatherings, and large-scale activations including EDC Las Vegas and Alibaba CoCreate.

Across all of this work, I’ve consistently operated as the person responsible for turning creative intent into extensible systems. By prioritizing clarity, execution, and long-term thinking, I’ve helped teams deliver work that not only ships, but holds up under real-world conditions and continues to create value over time.

If you’re working on something ambitious and need someone who can own or support the technical execution, guide complex builds, and help execute on an idea and build it into a real product, I’m always open to connecting.
